Text analysis: enable coding / tagging of text passages
I use GoodNotes for my studies and often have to summarize texts / papers or analyze them with regards to specific topics. What would be really helpful there if you can mark and associate specific parts of the text (e.g., some words, a sentence, etc.) with a chosen term ("tag" / "code") and have a view where you can filter for all of the passages marked with that tag. Researchers use that similarly for qualitative data analysis with dedicated programs (see for example: https://atlasti.com/2017/03/16/make-best-codes-atlas-ti/). However, an app combining convenient hand-written notes and coding seems not to be on the…

Error text
I am contacting you due to an error in the application. since several updates when you write a text and resize it, the text box is crooked and the text is not in a straight line. if you want to enlarge the text by enlarging the font size, it happens that it stays outside the text box and does not scroll correctly

View Hyperlinks results in Split View
I would like to see a feature that allows me to click on an Internal Link of a pdf document, and shows its result (which views a specific portion of a specific page on the same document) on the other Window of Split View (not the same opened one!).
It is so useful for reviewing Notes and Textbooks that contain internal hyperlinks without having to go back to the original page each time after view the hyperlink result (page view)

"write neat and fast" handwriting practice templates
I'm in the process of creating timed handwriting practice sheets for note takes to be able to write neater and faster by practicing under a specified time limit so that they can take easier to read or neater notes while writing quickly during fast-paced lectures without having the need to rewrite or make them neater afterward by spending a lot of time or even you just don't want it to take too long just to copy down your notes in neater handwriting.
I would love to know what do you think of it?
I've created a sample practice temple (see…

Batch import of Files / Images into page order
When batch importing images / files (via icloud) they are placed in random page order and need to be manually sorted.
Example. I photograph my hand drawn Moleskine note books into Goodnotes as a reference and archive. BUT, the images in Icloud are all in a numbered order, but they are randomly imported in Goodnotes and I need to spend a considerable time putting them in order.

Texting box should be like those writing tools
It is VERY ANNOYING for me to use text box if we can’t save our favorites colors like what we are doing for those writing tools.
I HATE to change the size and color and the style EVERYTIME!1 vote -
radical
Please add the square root symbol (aka the radical) to the recognized shapes so when you draw one freehand it snaps to the correct shape. It can be difficult drawing one without the top part getting squiggly. (tags: math, algebra, calculus, statistics, science, engineering, shapes)

Highlighter Curve Toggle (Straight Lines Only)
Please add a toggle to highlighter to disable converting drawn lines to rounded curves (Not to toggle shapes in general, just, like, boomerang shapes).
I use GoodNotes for all my text book reading, annotating, and long text and drawing heavy physics homework assignments. My hand isn't the most steady and one of my biggest frustrations when using the highlighter with "Draw in Straight Line" toggle activated is when an actual ~1/3 of all my highlighted lines turn into swoopy curves instead of straight lines; which I then need to undo and redraw at least one more time instead of continuing…

Save multiple text box presets
Save multiple text box presets
Sometimes when text input is used.
It's too troublesome to adjust the style, font size and color of the text box back and forth.
For example, if you want to use the writing of headline, subtitle and body part, you can't switch quickly
Now that you can save the style as the default, why not add more save fields.

Clothing rejection + even harsher palm rejection
Whenever I use the app and wear a long sleeved piece of clothing (Shirt, long T-shirt, hoddie...) the app detects the clothing as if it were a finger moving the screen or zooming in and out. This should not happen.
I also want to add another palm rejection mode. In which the app only allows 2 fingers at a time. The rest of the fingers (if used more) will get rejected. For example, if the app detects 3 fingers at the same time, it will do nothing (since every action requires only 2 fingers).
I use the palm rejection mode…1 vote -
Add memo
Sometimes I want to jot notes , but there isn’t enough space , however I don’t want to add new page but just write next to the words. Is it possible to add memo ( like the add comment feature) , so when I click the little memo icon , it will expend into large memo . Or just to add space between lines. Thank you .
